Once you purchase our book box, drop in and I'll share with you some yummy wines and teach you to bind your very own journal. In this workshop you'll get a complete introduction to all the necessary tools required for the traditional book binding method called the "coptic stitch". The coptic stitch book binding method is one that has existed for centuries and is known and referred to as the "TRUE" book binding method. With its Egyptian and Ethiopian roots, it is by far the most durable and aesthetically pleasing book binding method. Together we'll work with a variety of organic materials to design and personalize your journal cover. 2 Radomly selected, waxed cords
OUR MATERIALS:
The Cover- Each cover is made with American made, 100% recycled Baltic Birch Wood. It’s matte, uncoated finish enhances the natural texture. Each cover is laser cut by us at a local maker space in Baltimore, MD.
The Background: Personalize your cover by choosing from six different background colors made with acid free cardstock.
Our Filler Paper: All of our filler paper no matter what you choose is 100% Sugarcane Paper.
