Book: The Collected Poems of Audre Lorde
My favorite Audre Lorde book is Zami. Reading it was the first time I truly felt seen in literature. I was inspired by the story of this rebelious little girl who decided to live life on her own terms. This little girl who became a woman, brave enough to leave behind traditions that were never designed for someone like her. She went about, fearlessly paving out a new way of being and unraveling the contradictions that life presented.
